As Energy Digitalization Association ("EDİDER"), we would like to inform you about what kind of information it collects and what kind of information it ignores about the users, visitors, members, business partners and, if any, their officials/employees and real persons who contact it by any means of communication during your use of our website (www.edider.org) ("Site").
 

This Data Protection and Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") aims to inform you about our privacy and security measures we have taken regarding the personal data of the above-mentioned persons and your rights regarding your personal data. The Privacy Policy explains our methods of processing, collecting, storing and using such personal data. Our Privacy Policy is available both on our homepage and on every page where personal data of users and visitors are collected.

1. PERSONAL DATA AND PRIVACY

The data of the aforementioned natural persons are collected, stored and processed in accordance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"), which regulates the protection of personal data in Türkiye, and the secondary legislation and decisions of the Personal Data Protection Board (collectively referred to as "Data Protection Legislation"), limited to the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. 
 

 

EDİDER takes the measures determined in accordance with the Data Protection Legislation and other applicable legislation to protect personal data. Personal data are collected, stored and processed to be used to the extent permitted by the Data Protection Legislation when necessary. 

 

Personal data will not be transferred to third parties other than EDİDER and service providers with a confidentiality obligation from whom it purchases services through a service and/or work contract and the persons specified in this Privacy Policy. EDİDER's representatives and third parties from whom it purchases services have the obligation to protect the confidentiality of such personal data and not to share it with third parties other than those listed above without the consent of the owner of the personal data.

2. PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION AND PURPOSE

EDİDER uses information about users' use of services on the Site to track user traffic patterns and to design better services for users. Unless otherwise stated, the information collected through the Site may be used to improve the Site content, to organize the Site according to your needs based on your preferences and for other purposes specified herein.

 

EDİDER may also process your personal data within the scope of the relationship to be established with it for the following purposes: 

- Carrying out the activities, promotion and membership relations of our Association, 

- Carrying out communication activities, - Creating and monitoring visitor records, 

- Execution of contractual processes, including but not limited to procurement of services and products, 

- Execution of activities in accordance with the relevant legislation, 

- Carrying out storage and archiving activities, 

- Managing events such as organizations, meetings, etc, 

- Sending you newsletters on current developments, 

- Providing information to the authorized administrative units based on the obligations arising from the relevant legislation.

3. TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA 

Personal data may be shared with EDİDER's suppliers and business partners who have confidentiality obligations, limited to the requirements of the relationship between you and EDİDER and taking the measures stipulated in the Data Protection Legislation.

 

In addition, we may use your personal data and share it with the competent administrative authorities in order to audit and/or ensure EDİDER's compliance with the legislation without the need for explicit consent, limited to the purposes of fulfilling our obligations arising from the applicable legislation in Türkiye.

- Pursuant to the legislation; 

- In order to ensure the security of the public or our Association; 

- In order to fulfill a judicial prosecution, court order or a legal process; or

- We may disclose your personal data to third party service providers in order to carry out our activities (for example, to receive support in information systems management and storage, data analysis, etc.).

However, unless you opt out of receiving messages other than direct promotional and membership notifications, we may share your personal data with third parties who assist us with such communications.

4. DATA TRANSFER TO ABROAD

Your personal data may be recorded, processed and transferred abroad for these reasons in global data processing systems used by EDİDER and service providers with a confidentiality obligation from which EDİDER purchases services through a service and/or work contract in order to carry out activities effectively.

5. COOKIES AND INTERNET TAGS

Cookies and similar technologies are tools that enable instant information to be obtained from and information to be provided to users using the Site. EDİDER uses cookies to control the traffic of this website. Users and visitors are deemed to have accepted cookies by using this website. Cookies do not harm computers. However, not accepting cookies may prevent the Site from performing its functions efficiently.

The website mentioned in this Privacy Policy and the explanations regarding its use are only valid for this Site; it is not valid for websites that do not belong to EDİDER. However, the Site may contain links to other websites that may be of interest to users and visitors. EDİDER's aim is to ensure that the linked sites are safe websites. However, this does not in any way mean that the linked websites are safe or that the privacy standards are guaranteed and that the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use contained herein are also in force on the said websites. For this reason, EDİDER does not give any guarantee to the users regarding the security and content of the linked websites. When EDİDER connects to a page other than the Site, it is recommended to review the privacy policy of the relevant site before providing personal information.

7. ABOUT CHILD ACCESS

This website is not intended for children and individuals under the age of 18. Due to the importance of protecting the privacy of children, EDİDER does not collect and use the information of individuals under the age of 18 for any purpose whatsoever without a clear consent from their parents. If requested by the parents, they have the right to examine the information provided by the child and / or to require their deletion. EDİDER recommends that parents talk to their children about the use of the internet and the information provided on websites.

In accordance with the Privacy Policy and Data Protection Legislation, Users have the following rights: 

a)  Learn whether personal data is being processed, 

b) Request information if personal data has been processed, 

c) To learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are used in accordance with their purpose, 

d) To know the third parties to whom personal data are transferred domestically or abroad, 

e)  To request correction of personal data in case of incomplete or incorrect processing, 

f)  Request deletion or destruction of personal data, 

g) The transactions made pursuant to subparagraphs (e) and (f) to third parties to whom personal data are transferred 

request to be notified, 

h) To object to the occurrence of a result to the detriment of the person himself/herself by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems, 

i)  In case of damage due to unlawful processing of personal data, to demand the compensation of the damage.
